Azerbaijani FM meets Afghan counterpart
Tehran, November 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met his Afghan counterpart Zarar Ahmad Osmani on the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Tehran.
The two ministers praised development of relations between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.
Mammadyarov noted there was big potential for expansion of cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields, and highlighted Azerbaijan-initiated projects in the region.
Mr Osmani said that Afghanistan attached great importance to the cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He noted his country was interested in development of bilateral ties with Azerbaijan on all fronts.
They also discussed prospects for development of the regional cooperation.
