Azerbaijani FM meets Czech counterpart
Baku, June 3 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has today met Czech counterpart Lubomir Zaoralek.
The foreign ministers then held a press conference.
The Azerbaijani FM said that Lubomir Zaoralek was informed about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The meeting focused on the development prospects for the Azerbaijan-Czech relations. Discussions on strengthening the cooperation in the fields of education, tourism, economy, energy and transport are being held between the two countries. Noting that some 220 Azerbaijani students are studying in the Czech Republic, Elmar Mammadyarov said that this number will increase in future.
In his turn, Lubomir Zaoralek stressed that the Czech Republic is interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in different fields. Mr. Zaoralek invited the Czech businessmen to invest in Azerbaijan`s economy. He also said that the Czech companies are keen on participation in the energy projects initiated by Azerbaijan.
