Azerbaijani karate fighters win 5 medals at Istanbul Open tournament

 Baku, September 8 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani karate fighters have brought home a clutch of 5 medals, including a gold from the 9th Istanbul Open tournament in Turkey.

The gold medal came from Aykhan Mamayev in the 84kg division.

Vusal Kamalli and Roman Heydarov claimed silver, while Niyazi Aliyev and Rafiz Hasanov scooped bronze medals of the tournament.

The tournament brought together 592 fighters from 57 countries.
