AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MEETS FIRST VICE-SPEAKER OF ESTONIAN PARLIAMENT
Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev has met with the First vice speaker of the Estonian Parliament, Riigikogu, Mrs. Kristiina Ojulan.
Mr. Babayev told of successful reforms in the field of economy, oil and non-oil sectors, putting into commission of the new educational, cultural, health and communication institutions as well as favorable investment milieu of the country.
Minister underlined that National Fund to Entrepreneurship Support loans soft credits to development of the small and medium sized business.
Mr. Babayev noted that there were wide opportunities for expanding cooperation with Estonia in the economic and trade sections. Minister invited Estonian businessmen to participate in the large-scale projects to expand relationship with Azerbaijan Investment Company and Azerbaijan Investments and Export Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
Mrs. Ojulan highly valued the rapid development of Azerbaijan economy. First vice speaker stressed the significance of export of Azerbaijani gas to the Europe for integration to the West. She also expressed her satisfaction with elimination of the double taxation between Azerbaijan and Estonia. Mrs. Ojulan noted that Estonia is keen to expand relations with Azerbaijan in all areas.
Estonian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mart Volmer was present at the meeting.
