Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker meets Czech FM

Baku, June 4 (AZERTAC). Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met the delegation led by foreign minister of the Czech Republic Lubomir Zaoralek.

Asadov praised development of bilateral relations between the two countries, noting that these relations have intensified after Azerbaijan gained state independence.

Azerbaijani Speaker stressed the role of the reciprocal visits and inter-parliamentary relations in development of mutual cooperation and thanked the Czech FM for their unbiased position on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

He hailed the resolution of the Czech Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee recognizing the Khojaly genocide.

Asadov stressed that Azerbaijan was interested in expanding cooperation with the Czech Republic in various fields.

Noting the Czech Republic`s interest in the field of education, culture and economy of Azerbaijan, Lubomir Zaoralek said that they are going to invest in energy sector of Azerbaijan.
