Azerbaijani State councilor meets British delegation
Baku, September 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani State councilor on multinational, multicultural and religious affairs Kamal Abdullayev has today met British MPs Tony Baldry, Peter James and Professor at the University of East Anglia, founder and rector of the London Diplomatic Academy Nabil Ayad. Kamal Abdullayev spoke about multiculturalism and tolerance in Azerbaijan which became an integral part of state policy by national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev. He also praised establishment of the service of the State Councilor as a symbol of government’s attention to this field.
The British delegation hailed Azerbaijan`s stability in national, religious and ethnic spheres. They stressed that most of world countries and international organizations pursue a dual policy in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The British MPs said that they plan to organize a conference dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy in London.
The Azerbaijani state councilor underlined the activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in promotion of Azerbaijani realities to the world. He expressed his gratitude to the British delegation for their support in this field.
