Azerbaijan`s chief electoral officer to attend international symposium in Malaysia
Baku, December 2 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov has headed to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the 7th International Electoral Affairs Symposium.
Mr. Panahov is accompanied by chief of the Central Election Commission`s Secretariat Rovzat Gasimov.
The event will take place with the official support of the Election Commission of Malaysia.
Electoral officials from around the world will share experiences and best practices in electoral processes, whilst examining potential reforms, to enhance international standards.
This symposium will also address a variety of issues including procedural, logistical and political rationale for electoral reform, incorporating technology into reform planning, innovative new solutions for increased efficiency and transparency, voter registration and stakeholder engagement. Participants will also gain an invaluable insight into the latest initiatives and developments in the field of international electoral affairs and will have ample time to network with colleagues, exchange ideas and engage in lively discussions.
