AZERBAIJAN`S DEBT-TO-GDP RATIO MAKES UP 8.3%

According to Azerbaijan`s Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, the ratio of external debt to GDP was 8.3% in 2007 in Azerbaijan, while foreign debt per capita made up $262. 11.7% of government-guaranteed loans were drawn down on economic reforms and 88.3% on projects. Electric power sector received 30.7% of loans, road construction and transport sector 26.6%, agriculture and amelioration 6.4%, social sectors 13.1%, energy sector, chemical industry 4.6% and other spheres 6.8%.
