Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister, UNCTAD official mull international trade relations

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy met with Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on the margins of the 13th Global Baku Forum.
The sides exchanged views on global economic processes, the current state of international trade relations, and the main global business trends.
They emphasized the impact of changes in the world economy on regional economic development prospects, as well as the importance of new cooperation mechanisms for the sustainable development of international trade.
Minister Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted initiatives aimed at diversifying Azerbaijan’s economy, increasing its potential in digital trade, and promoting innovation-oriented development.
The parties also exchanged views on expanding cooperation in experience exchange, capacity building programs, and support for the innovation ecosystem.
