Azerbaijan`s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva named “The most influential woman of 2014”
Paris, March 6 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan's First Lady, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva has been announced “The most influential woman of 2014” according to the results of a survey conducted jointly by France-based Arabic Cultural Heritage Center and Egyptian “Nefertiti Media Production” company.
According to Azerbaijan`s Embassy in France, the survey was conducted among students, journalists and internet users in France and in the Arab world from March 8, 2013 to January 10, 2014. The survey list included presidents, heads of large companies and charitable organizations.
Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded for her activities as the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, as well as her contributions to promoting culture and international cultural exchange, and developing science, health, sports, education, technology and promoting environmental protection.
In a letter sent to the Azerbaijani Embassy, Director of the Arabic Cultural Heritage Center Reem Katry Belhassous listed the establishment of International Mugham Center in Baku, aid to orphans and other numerous charity events among First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva`s merits.
