Azerbaijan`s Interior Minister meets Italian ambassador
Baku, December 5 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov has met the newly appointed Italian ambassador to the country Giampaolo Cutillo.
Mr. Usubov expressed confidence that the Azerbaijani-Italian relations would further deepen during the ambassador`s diplomatic tenure in Baku.
The Minister also briefed the diplomat on the functions and activities of the Ministry, as well as Armenia`s aggression against Azerbaijan.
Mr. Usubov also underlined reciprocal visits of the Head of States of both countries in terms of further boosting Azerbaijan-Italy bonds.
The Minister also recalled his participation in the 81st INTERPOL General Assembly session in Rome, as well as signing an agreement on cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and Italy.
The Minister also highlighted Azerbaijan`s integration to Europe and thanked Italy for supporting peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and norms and principles of international law.
Giampaolo Cutillo, in turn, said both countries have similar aspects, adding that he would try his best for further deepening Azerbaijan-Italy relations during his tenure in Baku.
