Azerbaijan`s Olympic delegation attend European Olympic Committees` meeting

Baku, November 23 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Youth and Sports minister Azad Rahimov, vice-president of the country`s National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade and head of the Committee`s International Relations department Konul Nurullayeva are attending the 40th General Assembly of European Olympic Committees (EOC) in Sochi.

Meeting of the EOC Executive Committee was held in the first day of the Assembly.

The first session featured reports by EOC President Patrick Hickey and organization`s secretary general Raffaele Pagnozzi and saw External Auditors` Report, approval of EOC 2010 Financial Statements, approval of EOC 2012 Budget, appointment of External Auditors.

Secretary General of Association of the National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Gunilla Lindberg addressed the second panel of the meeting.

As part of the Sochi visit Huseynzade met with EOC President. The sides exchanged views on cooperation prospects between EOC and Azerbaijan`s NOC.

EOC President Patrick Hickey underlined Azerbaijan`s active participation in International Olympic Movement. He praised development of sport sphere in the country.
