Azerbaijan’s think tank: Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations are steadily deepening

“There are close ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, which are steadily deepening. The expected visit of Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Azerbaijan is a clear evidence of that,” Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) Farid Shafiyev said during the roundtable themed “Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan: New horizons of cooperation”.

He said that the roundtable’s main goal is to analyze the current developments in the region and beyond. Shafiyev noted that the think tanks of the two countries would touch upon the tasks they have to fulfill with regard to bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and hold discussions in this area.

Farid Shafiyev stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations between the two nations.

He also found the need to join forces for peace, security and sustainable development.
