AZERI PARLIAMENTARIANS TO LIFT NAGORNO KARABAKH QUESTION AT PACE WINTER SESSION
Occupation of 20 percent of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenia has caused such serious troubles and difficulties that elimination of them is a long-term process, deputy chairperson of the Milli Majlis International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Standing Committee, member of the Azerbaijani delegation at PACE Gultekin Hajyeva told correspondent of AZERTAC. Huge damage caused to the natural resources of Azerbaijan, its spiritual-cultural heritage as a result of occupation demands from Azerbaijani people, the society, as well as the Azerbaijani delegation at PACE long-term and intensive activity.
Azerbaijani delegation at PACE regularly lifts questions at the PACE Ministerial Committee connected to elimination of the damage caused to natural, cultural, religious and historical resources of Azerbaijan, for prevention of the Armenian acts of vandalism and attempts to present samples of Azerbaijani cultural heritage as Armenian to the world community, make efforts to unmask the insidious policy of Armenia to damage ecology of Azerbaijan. Now the Council of Europe officials and European parliamentarians are well aware of the arsons the Armenian set at the occupied areas of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani delegation will again lift the question of arsons at the winter session of PACE, Ms. Hajiyeva said.
According to Hajyeva, one of the urgent questions is the uncontrolled territory beyond the control of Azerbaijan government. This creates some difficulties to prove hostile acts of Armenians before the international community, but we try to organize visits of the OSCE fact-finding missions to the area. And the result was not objective, unsatisfactory and unfair, she stressed.
The delegation will seriously struggle to bring to the notice of European parliaments all these questions of Azerbaijan.
