BAKU HOSTS IMPRESSIVE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS
People of Azerbaijan saw in the New Year at the Azadlyg Square in Baku with spectacular festivities. To celebrate the New Year and World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, thousands of people packed into the square where a 21-meter high New Year tree, special stage with the state-of-the-art equipment and laser screen were installed.
The New Year parties in other parts of the city could have been seen in the LED Crystal New Year Ball with state-of-the-art LED lighting effects.
This incredible fete was initiated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The marching boys and girls with torches in their hands accompanied by performers including rhythm-band “Natig” and jazz orchestra of the Baku State Circus traveled along Nizami Street and Bulbul avenue, and then, proceeded to the Neftchiler avenue. The parade finished on the Azadlyg square.
Viewers around the globe could have watched on AZTV the live broadcast of New Year’s celebrations where thousands of Azerbaijanis were out in force on Baku`s streets in the biggest New Year`s Eve gathering ever seen in the city.
