Baku to host 9th Plenary Session of TURKPA

Azerbaijan`s Parliament will host the 9th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking countries (TURKPA) in Baku on December 18.
A meeting of the Council of Assembly will precede the Plenary Session, when TURKPA Chairmanship will be handed from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Delegations led by the Parliament speakers of the TURKPA member states, including representatives of the Turkish co-operation agencies and international organizations will attend the event.
The agenda of the 9th Plenary Session includes adoption of reports and recommendations of the last meetings of the TURKPA permanent commissions, model laws, report of the TURKPA international observers’ mission on the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan, as well as legal documents of the organization.
The Plenary Session will end with the adoption of the Baku Declaration.
