Baku to host another Vugar Hashimov memorial tournament
Baku, July 13 (AZERTAC). An international chess tournament commemorating the 28th anniversary of the birth of grand master, three times Azerbaijani national chess champion, the late Vugar Hashimov will be organized in Baku on July 25.
The Under-12 tournament will bring together more than 100 chess players from Russia, France, Georgia, Turkey, Iran and other countries.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the European Youth Chess Championships, which will take place in Batumi, Georgia, in October.
The tournament will be played in 9 rounds.
