Baku to host International Peace Youth Forum
The forum will consist of panels, discussions and a short trip. The main topics of the forum will be: the obstacles peace faces in the region, peace-building in the Southern Caucasus as well as Azerbaijan`s state policy on refugees and IDPs as a result of the occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh.
The forum will bring together European citizens between the ages of 18-35, representing 12 countries.
The main objective of the project is to inform European youth about the role of Azerbaijan in peace building in the region, to contribute to Azerbaijani-European youth cooperation and to inform European youth about Azerbaijani realities, especially about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
During this project, participants will have the opportunity to meet personally with refugees and IDPs who are living in Baku, Agdam and Fuzuli, to be informed about the of relevant peace-keeping efforts of Azerbaijan, and finally to participate in the creation of a short movie aimed at telling the true story of the lives of refugees and IDPs.
