"A long way from Baku to Cairo and Stockholm" by Azerbaijani writer Azima Aghalarova will be presented in Stockholm on August 27. The presentation is organized by the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Sweden. The book tells the story of a young, studious, middle class Soviet Azerbaijani woman living the exciting, dangerous and double life of an agent who becomes an employee of the Soviet Embassy in Cairo and begins to work in Soviet security service. Here she gets a new name, a new identity, and starts a new life, full of love, betrayal, lies and disappointment. The book by Azerbaijani writer is published in English and has already gone on sale in the online Swedish bookstores.
