Book dedicated to outstanding ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva presented in Kyiv
Baku, April 23 (AZERTAC). Senior specialist of the State sanitary-and-epidemiologic service of Ukraine, national coordinator of Ukraine under the European Bureau of the World Health Organization Aydin Salmanov presented his book “Infection control standards” at the international conference on the topical problems of intrahospital infections, disinfection and sterilization held in Kyiv.
The event was attended by representatives of the World Health Organization, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, State sanitary-and-epidemiologic service, leading scientists from USA, Canada, Germany, Turkey, Belarus and Georgia. National and international TV channels provided coverage of the event.
The first chapter of the book is titled “Risk management in surgery” and devoted to the activity of outstanding ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva and author`s memories of the years of study at the Azerbaijan state medical institute after Narimanov in late 70s and early 80s.
The second chapter deals with approaches to formation of major principles of the risk management system for practical introduction.
The book contains important information on risk management in healthcare and is designed for lawyers, healthcare managers, doctors, teachers, students.
