“Caucasus International” releases next edition
Baku, January 28 (AZERTAC). The Caucasus International founded by Ankara-based Eurasian Association of Scientists, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies (SAM) is a journal that discusses policymaking in and on the Caucasus as well as the region’s role in the global context. The journal’s new edition has been released.
The new publication gave place to the views of American professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer who played a major role in the development of the theory of international relations on the issues of the situation after “Arab spring,” the “strategic deception”, in international relations and especially the view of Turkey in the development of processes in the Middle East region, and opinions of former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld who is the founder of Rumsfeld Foundation and touched upon the results of the presidential elections in the United States, the discussions on the military budget of the country, and the U.S. relations with the countries of the South Caucasus.
Another article published in the last issue of the journal focused on the security issues in Eurasia, Russia’s foreign policy and “soft power” capabilities, the European Union and the U.S. roles in the region.
Each issue of the “Caucasus International” focuses on global or regional theme and includes perspectives from authors from numerous countries and backgrounds.
The journal focuses largely on the Caucasus neighborhood, but does so with a global outlook.
