CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives to meet in Minsk
Baku, November 29 (AZERTAC). A meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the CIS member states is to be held today at the CIS headquarters in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
At the meeting to sum up the results of session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government will schedule tasks of the Council of Permanent Representatives and the CIS Executive Committee for the implementation of adopted documents.
As earlier reported, at the session of the Council of the Heads of CIS Governments on November 20 current year in St. Petersburg it was adopted 31 documents relating to various aspects of cooperation within the CIS.
Of the adopted documents, 26 have entered into force upon signing, while 5 will come into effect after the respective internal procedures.
Members of the Council of Permanent Representatives will discuss the activities of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS member states.
The CIS Council for Cultural Cooperation was established in May 1995.
The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Boris Svetlov will inform on the activities of the Council in the period under review.
The today’s meeting is also expected to discuss the implementation schedule of a number of reports on the activities of sectorial cooperation within the Commonwealth.
