CIS sporting competition due in Kyrgyzstan
Minsk, August 31, AZERTAC
The Issyk-Kul CIS sporting competition will be held from September 4 to 12 in Kyrgyzstan, AZERTAC learned from CIS headquarters in Minsk. The competition will be held under the motto “Asia - a region of community and peace” and bring together 2000 athletes from CIS countries, Turkey, India and Pakistan. Organized by the Kyrgyz National Council of Voluntary Sports Society of Trade Unions, State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of Kyrgyzstan and CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, the event will involve athletes aged below 35 and above 35. The participants of the tournament will compete in 13 sports, including darts, athletics, football, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, street ball, arm wrestling and even a tug of war. A scientific and practical conference "Sport and physical culture as factors of integration" will be held as part of the sporting competition.
