Conference on taxes held in Baku

Baku, April 28 (AZERTAC). The American Chamber of Commerce has organized today here a conference on taxes issues entitled “Finding right direction”.

Officials, representatives of private sector and international organizations attended the event.

Chief of the Ministry of Taxes` department on Tax Policy and Strategic Studies of Akif Musayev addressed the conference highlighting the current state of and prospects for tax system in Azerbaijan. He also spoke of the successful economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.

During the conference, a competitiveness and trade project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Azerbaijan was presented.

The event participants also heard reports on tax reforms in Azerbaijan, impact of tax reforms on economy and other subjects.
