DAYS OF AZERBAIJANI CULTURE IN MOSCOW WRAPS UP
Organized by the Government of Moscow, Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and the country’s Embassy to Russia Days of Azerbaijani Culture held in the Russian capital city from April 16 to 18, ended with performance of the play “Kesa and Marito” by famous Japanese writer Akutagawa Ryunosuke at the Moscow Moon Theater.
The play was staged by the Azerbaijan State Mime Theater directed by Honored Worker of Arts of Azerbaijan Bakhtiyar Khany-zade.
Chairman of the Moscow Committee on Culture Sergey Khudyakov called the performance high art. “Today’s attitude to arts and culture in Azerbaijan allows us to say about the highest level of culture in this country,” he said.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Moscow Polad Bulbul oglu thanked the city government for hospitality and good organization of the Days. “Taking into account that we had lived in the same country, had a common humanitarian space and similar mentality, and spiritual intimacy with Russian culture, it is very important for us to have an opportunities to communicate closely,” he said.
Days of Culture of Moscow in Azerbaijan are expected to be held in Baku in October of this year.
