DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS WITH TURKISH DELEGATION

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Defense Safar Abiyev met with a military delegation of Turkey led by Army Commander Ilker Basbug.

The Azerbaijan Minister informed the guests about the Azerbaijan Armed Forces as well as the political and military situation in the South Caucasus region.

Safar Abiyev said Azerbaijan is effectively cooperating with the NATO within the Individual Partnership Action Plan.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Government for helping Azerbaijan develop its Armed Forces.

Ilker Basbug said Turkey will continue rendering military assistance to Azerbaijan.
