Delegation of Swiss AXPO Group Company visits SOCAR

Baku, June 29 (AZERTAC). A delegation of the Swiss AXPO Group Company led by Chairman of the Board of Directors Robert Lombardini has visited the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev gave detailed information about the important global and regional projects implemented in Azerbaijan`s energy sector.

Rovnag Abdullayev praised the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the European energy security, and noted that export lines of oil and gas had been installed in a short period of time.

Mr. Abdullayev also noted the importance of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project with the participation of AXPO.

Mr. Lombardini provided an insight into the activities of the AXPO Group Company.

Robert Lombardini pointed out that his visit was targeted at familiarization with Azerbaijan: TAP AG Consortium with 5% of the AXPO’s participation is working on organization of supplies of Azerbaijani gas to the EU.

Then SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev responded to questions of members of the Swiss delegation.
