Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament meets Chinese delegation
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov has met a delegation of the Communist Party of China.
Asgarov touched upon the history of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations.
On dynamic development of relations between the two countries in various fields, the Deputy Chairman said reciprocal visits and bilateral meetings contributed to further strengthening these bonds.
Asgarov also highlighted Azerbaijan`s economic development, its achievements, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
He also said there was good potential for further development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and China.
The Deputy Chairman provided an insight into history and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and thanked China for supporting Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Zhou Li praised development of friendly relations between the two countries.
He also lauded the interparliamentary ties and the Azerbaijan-China cooperation in a variety of fields.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Zhou Li said Beijing`s position on the dispute remains unchanged.
