DUTCH PARLIAMENT`S SECRETARY GENERAL VISITS AZERILMA CARPET WEAVING COMPANY

Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the States General of the Netherlands Jacqueline Biesheuvel-Vermeijden today has visited Azerilma Carpet Weaving Company.

The guest was informed about the art of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan. Mrs. Jacqueline was aware of the products of Azerilma Company, which won the various prizes of the trade exhibitions of US, Germany, Austria, UK, Italy, Japan and Russia. She was admired at the “Sheikh Shafi” carpet, weaving of which started in September 2007. The area of the carpet will be 37 sq.km, including 9 mln 250 thousand of loops. The original of the carpet is kept in London.

Secretary General was delighted with Azerbaijan’s carpet-weaving art.
