An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev has attended the 7th Meeting of the Ministers of Economy of the Council of Cooperation of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) in Istanbul, Turkey.
The meeting focused on enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and trade.
The meeting was addressed by Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, Kazakh vice minister of national economy Baurzhan Bekeshev, deputy minister of economy of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Imanaliev and Uzbekistan`s deputy minister of economy Sanutalla Bekenov.
The speakers highlighted the region`s geopolitical importance, it`s role in international cargo transit, natural resources as well as international economical projects.
The Council of Cooperation of Turkic-Speaking States was established in 2010 in Istanbul. The council includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The first meeting of the council was held in 2011, while the recent one - in December 2016 in Baku.
