Egyptian portal writes about Azerbaijan
Amman, November 28 (AZERTAC). Egyptian dostorasly.com portal has posted an article about Azerbaijan.
Written by famous journalist Mahammad Rammah, the article draws attention to important international forums hosted by Baku on political, economical and humanitarian affairs, saying Azerbaijan`s influence has increased in last years.
The author describes Baku`s hosting globally significance events as an indicator of achievements Azerbaijan has reached in political and economic fields.
The journalist touched upon Azerbaijan`s economic progress, noting together with oil sector, the non-oil sector also enjoys a serious growth.
The article focuses on Azerbaijan`s international influence. Rammah also informs about Heydar Aliyev Center, which is distinguished by its rarity.
The author says the country plays a role of bridge between Europe and Asia and “it is considered a leader state in the South Caucasus”.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the author points out that 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s lands were occupied by Armenia and official Yerevan ignores four resolutions of the United Nations Security Council with respect to settlement of the conflict.
The article also draws attention to the fact that Armenia destroys cultural heritage of Azerbaijan in the occupied territories. The author regretfully notes that the OSCE Minsk group`s mediation mission yields no result concerning the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Rammah also praises development of tourism sector in Azerbaijan. The author says there is a real tolerance in Azerbaijan, and characterizes the country as one of the historical-cultural centers of the Islamic world, as well as a secular and multi-confessional.
