Eurasian Forum of accountants and auditors kicks off in Baku
Baku, September 27 (AZERTAC). The 6th Eurasian Forum of accountants and auditors titled “Domestic surveillance and risk management” has today started in Baku.
The goal of the forum is to discuss the importance of domestic surveillance and risk management in terms of increasing transparency. The event was organized by the Azerbaijani Economists Union, the Chamber of Auditors and the Association of Professional Financial Managers of Azerbaijan (APFM).
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Economic Policy, and Azerbaijani Economists Union, academician Ziyad Samadzade delivered a speech on the recent development of the bookkeeping and audit systems in the country.
Other speakers at the event included President of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors (EFAA) Federico Diomeda and Chairman of State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslumov, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors, Professor Vahid Novruzov, chief of the Department to Combat Corruption under the Azerbaijani President Kamran Aliyev.
The Forum brought together representatives of the government bodies, international organizations, foreign and local audit and bookkeeping organizations.
