First European-Azerbaijani Investment conference kicks off in Baku
Baku, September 11 (AZERTAC). The first European-Azerbaijani Investment Conference has today commenced in Baku.
Supported by the Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers`) Organizations and Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event is organized by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, AZPROMO and Association of European Chambers (Eurochambers).
The conference, which has brought together more than 190 businessmen from 12 European countries, will stimulate regional investments and trade development.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister of Economic development Sevinj Hasanova briefed the event participants on Azerbaijan`s rapid developing economy, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
The event will be followed by panel discussions which are a useful way to trigger an exchange of viewpoints.
The event will allow Azerbaijani companies to present their projects to potential investors in the field of agriculture, food industry, alternative energy, energy-efficient construction, tourism, textile, ICT, oil, gas and chemical industries.
