FIRST LADY OF AZERBAIJAN MEETS PRESIDENT OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF FRANCE
On 4 April, Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, in the framework of her visit to France, met President of the National Assembly of France Patrick Ollier.
Patrick Ollier has hospitably met Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva before the National Assembly. President of National Assembly and the First Lady of Azerbaijan were photographed for memory.
Patrick Ollier has noted, that he is glad to meet with Mehriban Aliyeva. He has reminded about the meeting of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in National Assembly during his state visit to France in January of this year.
During the talk, Mehriban Aliyeva especially emphasized the necessity of the further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and has suggested to conduct in Azerbaijan the Days of Culture of France, and in France - Days of Culture of Azerbaijan.
President of National Assembly accepted this offer, noting that the item would be considered after the elections. He said that he would undertake appropriate steps for development of cooperation not only in the field of culture, but also in economic sphere. At his words, visit of the members of Committee of National Assembly on economic relations will promote the further deepening of relations between two countries.
In meeting, also was in focus the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. President of the National Assembly said his country supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. France as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group will further make efforts for fair solution of the problem, he emphasized.
During conversation, the parties stressed necessity of the further development of cooperation between parliamentary groups of friendship of National Assembly of France and Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed gratitude for this position of France and invited Mr. Patrick Ollier to visit Azerbaijan. Chairman of National Assembly accepted the offer.
