FM: Netherlands attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku, February 4 (AZERTAC). Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans has said his country attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He spoke to a joint press conference after meeting Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku.
The Dutch FM praised relations between Azerbaijan and Netherlands in different fields, especially in agrarian and educational ones. Timmermans underlined the importance of developing the bilateral cooperation in the non-oil sector.
He noted that the Netherlands was interested in further strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and the EU.
Azerbaijani FM Mammadyarov said they discussed with his Dutch counterpart prospects for developing the bilateral relations in a variety of fields, particularly in the non-oil sector. He said they exchanged views over the Azerbaijan-European Union relations, as well as energy cooperation.
The FM hailed the activities of Dutch companies in Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov also said that he increased Timmermans`s awareness of the current state of the negotiations to find a peaceful solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
