FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS WITH NEW LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan Kestutis Kudzamamas.
The Ambassador evaluated the opening of embassy in Baku as the evidence of importance the Lithuanian government attaches to strengthening relations with South Caucasian countries.
Foreign Minister Mammadyarov said the official visit by the Lithuanian President to Azerbaijan opened good prospects for the cooperation between the two countries.
He also informed the Mr. Kudzamamas in detail on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the regional economic projects, that Azerbaijan is involved in.
The Ambassador stressed the neccesity to expand bilaterlal cooperation, conduct joint business forum and exchange economic experience. He said Lithuania is a leader among former CIS countries in exportation of new technologies and know-how, and pointed to good opportunities for cooperation in this field as well.
