Dear Friend,
I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your re-election as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. I wish you successful continuation of your responsible duties for the benefit of Azerbaijan and its people.
Azerbaijan is a trustworthy and important partner for Latvia in the South Caucasus, and our bilateral relations are friendly, constructive and mutually supportive. I am sure that during your next term in office the partnership between Latvia and Azerbaijan will be focused on development of flourishing and prosperous economic cooperation.
With my best memories, I recall my official visit to Azerbaijan last April. I am pleased about successful relations between our countries, and I hope that collaboration among various institutions, as well as personal contacts will strengthen in the years to come.
Your Excellency, please allow me to reiterate my sincere invitation for you to visit Latvia in 2014, when Riga will be European Capital of Culture. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.
