Fully electric vehicle in Abania fleet grows by more than 82%

The country’s electric vehicle fleet is recording swift growth, reflecting a strong and ongoing commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly transport, reported Albanian News Agency (ATA).

According to data from the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPSHTRR), between January and November 2025, 5,312 all-electric vehicles were registered for the first time, representing an increase of 82.6% compared to the same period in 2024.

From 2019 up to November 2025, a total of 11,690 all-electric vehicles have been registered. Of the zero-kilometre cars registered between January and November 2025, 44.4% were all-electric, representing an increase of 63% compared to 2024.

This positive trend reflects growing awareness among citizens and institutions of the benefits of electric vehicles, including reduced air pollution, lower carbon emissions, and decreased maintenance costs.

The increase in “green” vehicles on the country’s roads is regarded as an important step towards a cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable transport system, in line with environmental objectives and green development policies.
