Georgian Speaker hails interparliamentary cooperation with Azerbaijan
Baku, August 30 (AZERTAC). Georgian Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili has praised cooperation between legislative bodies of Georgia and Azerbaijan as he met chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade.“The parliaments of Georgia and Azerbaijan enjoy fruitful collaboration,” he said. Mr. Usupashvili noted the necessity of developing the bilateral cooperation.
He also said he was pleased to see the chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office in Georgia, and congratulated him on his 65th anniversary.
Mr. Pashazade hailed Azerbaijan-Georgia relations as brotherly. He lauded the Georgian parliament speaker`s support for Azerbaijan regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Heads of Azerbaijani and Georgian parliamentary committees noted the importance of jointly raising the issue of preservation of territorial integrity in international organizations.
