German delegation visits SOCAR

Baku, October 10 (AZERTAC). A German delegation, including MPs, officials, lawyers and journalists, have visited Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company (SOCAR), where they met Elshad Nasirov, Vice President for Investments and Marketing.

Nasirov briefed the German delegation on Azerbaijan`s achievements. He spoke of international projects carried out by SOCAR. He provided an insight into Azerbaijan`s contribution to world oil industry. “Baku has always been one of the oil centers of the world. Foreign inverters, especially German businessmen, were interested in investing here in the early 20th century,” he added.

Nasirov said Azerbaijan was playing a critical role in ensuring the European energy security.

Former member of Bundestag Eduard Lintner hailed Azerbaijan`s achievements.

He stressed the importance of developing the relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
