Greek company to provide services to ships sailing under Azerbaijani flag

Azerbaijan’s State Maritime and Port Agency, and Greece’s Hellenic Register classification society has signed an Agreement on the regulation of the implementation of certification and classification services established by law for ships sailing under the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the agreement, the Libero Hellenic Register will provide relevant services related to ensuring compliance with international standards and implementing a quality certification system for ships sailing under the Azerbaijani flag.
The agreement aims to expand Azerbaijan’s strategic cooperation with classification societies. Additionally, it will contribute to the development of maritime transport, raising safety standards and increasing the competitiveness of ships sailing under the Azerbaijani flag, both in the local and global markets.
