GROWTH IN ECONOMY OF AZERBAIJAN MADE UP 25 PERCENT IN PAST YEAR
In past year, growth in economy of Azerbaijan has made 25 percent, President Ilham Aliyev stated at his congratulations to the people on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of the World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
Having noted, that 2007 was very successful for all-around development of Azerbaijan, the head of the state has emphasized, that in past year Azerbaijan has strengthened its international positions and could achieve big economic development. It has already been for the third year that Azerbaijan holds the leading position in the world on economic development, the President said.
“In comparison with 2003, budgetary charges of Azerbaijan have increased ten times, and in 2008 the total budget will make 12 billion dollars. It is high enough figure, which will allow us to solve successfully all problems the country faces”, he emphasized.
