Heydar Aliyev Foundation popularizes Azerbaijani culture across the world
Baku, June 7 (AZERTAC). The Heydar Aliyev Foundation continues to implement projects to popularize the Azerbaijani culture all over the world. A series of events are planned to be held in Greece, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Greece.
One of these events, a concert of the Gara Garayev State Chamber Orchestra will take place at the Megaro Music Complex, the largest music hall of the Greek capital.
The works by world-renowned musicians Astor Piazzolla, Pablo de Sarasate, Ernesto de Curtis along with works by Azerbaijani composers Uzeir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Jahangir Jahangirov, Niyazi and Vagif Mustafazade will be performed at the event.
Chief conductor of the concert is People's Artist of Azerbaijan Teymur Goychayev.
The Azerbaijan cultural events in Greece will be held with information support. A special website http://azerbaijani-culture.gr was created to cover the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and president of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva`s activities, as well as a series of events planned to be held in Greece.
The invitation to these events could be found through the website. The participants will become familiar with various publications printed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation over the last years.
The publications on the ancient and rich Azerbaijani culture include books dedicated to the Azerbaijan National Art Museum, music instruments, manuscripts, various types of folk and applied art, CDs devoted to pop, jazz, Mugham and classic music, as well as works by Nizami and Mahsati.
