HIGH-OUTPUT OIL WELL IN GUNASHLI PUT INTO OPERATION
The “Bayil Port” Offshore Exploration Drilling Department has put into operation a high-output oil well at Gunashli field’s platform No14, SOCAR said adding it was the 11th well commissioned since the beginning of this year.
The 2,545 - meter well produces 120 tons of oil and 40,000 cubic meters of gas daily. The platform 14 launched in 1998 and primarily designed for 24 wells, is the largest and most productive one in the Gunashli field. Four years ago, an additional 12-well block was connected to the platform. In total, 32 high-output wells with a capacity of 2,200 tons of oil and condensate and 4 million cubic meters of gas per day have been drilled at the platform over the past twenty years.
Next well is expected to be put into operation from the platform 15 on December.
