HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER HELD
A man has been apprehended in connection with an alleged hit and run accident occurred in Davachi region.
Tovuz resident Mirza Abdullayev is charged with hitting a pedestrian with his car and then leaving the scene of the accident.
The pedestrian died at the spot, and was identified as Davachi resident Nuhu Ahmadov, the police sources said.
The driver is questioned by officers at a Davachi police station.
Meanwhile, a passenger has died after being hit by a car in Surakhani district.
Hokuma Hamidova was hit by Mercedes driven by Alibala Guliyev.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, local police said.
