Honduras ‘keen’ to participate in energy projects in Azerbaijan

Baku, July 12 (AZERTAC). Honduran Minister of Economic Development, Alden Rivera, has expressed his country`s interest in being involved in oil and gas projects implemented in Azerbaijan.

Alden Rivera met President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev, as part of his visit to Baku.

Rivera said Honduras was keen to participate in energy projects in Azerbaijan.

The Honduran minister hailed Azerbaijan`s achievements in the energy sector, as well as the country`s regional and global oil and gas projects.

Abdullayev provided an insight into the history of oil industry in Azerbaijan.

The SOCAR president touched upon the visit of a Honduran delegation led by Mireya Agüero de Corrales, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to Azerbaijan this May, saying “such visits promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries”.
