Humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan arrives in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo, May 20 (AZERTAC). A plane of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations carrying humanitarian aid has touched down in Sarajevo.
On Monday, the Azerbaijani President instructed the Ministry of Emergency Situations to send humanitarian aid to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina that were hit by devastating floods.
The aid included 12 motor boats of various sizes, 260 tents, 300 camp beds, 1,500 blankets, 40 power generators, 20 water pumps, etc.
Participants in a ceremony to meet the plane included Bakir Sadovic, Chief of Cabinet of the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other senior officials.
Bosnian state and government officials, as well as UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina Yury Afanasyev thanked the Azerbaijani government`s sending humanitarian aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
