Iftar program organized in Finland on the occasion of Ramadan

An Iftar program was organized in Finland to mark the holy month of Ramadan, organized by the UID Finland (Union of International Democrats) organization.
The event brought together representatives of the Turkish and Azerbaijani communities living in Finland, as well as numerous guests, to share in the spirit of unity, solidarity, and togetherness that defines Ramadan.
The Iftar program was attended by Deniz Çakar, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Helsinki; Orhan Erdem, AK Party Member of Parliament for Konya; Kenan Aslan, President of UID; Sonat Altuğ, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Finland; Ulviyya Jabbarova, Head of the Helsinki Azerbaijan House; and other residents living in Finland.
During the event, speakers emphasized the values of peace, mercy, and unity associated with Ramadan, noting the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among various communities. It was also noted that the brotherly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan are further strengthened through the diaspora representatives living in Finland.
In her address, Ulviyya Jabbarova, Head of the Helsinki Azerbaijan House, discussed the activities of her organization aimed at promoting Azerbaijani culture, language, and national values in Finland. She stated that through various cultural events, meetings, and projects, the Azerbaijan House contributes both to the unity of the Azerbaijani community and the development of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Finland.
The event concluded with prayers for Ramadan to bring peace, prosperity, and solidarity to all people.
