In honor of Republic Day of Turkey
Baku, October 30 (AZERTAC). An official reception in honor of the 90th anniversary of establishment of the Turkish Republic was organized at Turkey’s Embassy in Azerbaijan Tuesday.
Ambassador Ismail Alper Cosgun spoke of the history of how Turkey enjoyed independence led by Mustafa Kamal Ataturk, then, the both countries’ State anthems were played.
The Ambassador noted Turkey has went through dynamic development way and cemented its strong position in the world, as well as in the region thanks to the great projects and works carried out in the fields of politics, economy, democracy, military and human rights.
Mr. Ismail Alper Cosgun stressed particular role of the heads of both states, saying reciprocal visits, bilateral discussions and lots of signed documents contributed to boost friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries at high level.
The Ambassador highlighted the policy carried out by President Ilham Aliyev which turned Azerbaijan into the leader country in the region.
Turkish envoy also touched the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, stressing the importance of the pullout from the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov congratulated event participants, as well as the people of Turkey on behalf of the Head of State Ilham Aliyev and wished them successes.
The Deputy Premier also praised the fraternal position of Turkey in Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The official reception was attended by state and government officials, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors of foreign countries to Azerbaijan, Turkish entrepreneurs, etc.
