“INTERACTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL COURT AND MASS MEDIA” DISCUSSED IN HELD “ROUND-TABLE”
At meeting, exchanged were views on condition of relations between bodies of the constitutional courts of two countries, and on a number of other questions.
Then, in the building of the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan Republic has passed a “round table” on the topic Interrelations between the Constitutional Court and mass media”, organized by the project of the Society of Technical Cooperation of Germany “Support of Judicial and Legal Reforms In Azerbaijan” together with the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan Republic.
In his opening remarks, chairman of Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullaev welcomed visitors, has noted, that present action is devoted to perfection of activity of the press-service of courts, in particular, the Constitutional Court. Having thanked on behalf of collective of the Constitutional Court and from himself personally to the Society of Technical Cooperation of Germany, especially chairperson of Karlsruhe Administrative Court of Germany Gudrun Schraft-Huber, the Chairman has especially emphasized, that present action will make contributions in co-op in press and courts.
Mrs. Gudrun Schraft-Huber, who worked earlier as press secretary of Federal Court of Germany, delivered a lecture on the “Purpose and value of activity of the press-service in the Constitutional Court". Mrs. Gudrun Schraft-Huber as the expert possessing wide experience in this area, spoke about links of the press-service of the Constitutional Court with mass media, importance of activity of the press-service, practical value of this work.
On action, also were attending the judges, officials of the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan Republic, representatives of the Supreme Court and Appeal Court, the Press Council, various mass media.
